Honda Wins Three 2011 Kelley Blue Book Best Resale Value Awards

If you???re looking for a vehicle that has the best resale value in its class, look no further than Honda, which took home 2011 Kelley Blue Book Best Resale Value Awards in no less than 3 different classes.

The 2011 Honda Fit won the award in the Subcompact Car category, thanks to its great fuel economy, versatile interior, stylish looks, and enjoyable drive.  In the Mid-Size Car class, the 2011 Honda Accord drives off with the award again this year, in large part because of its reliability, classic styling, wide range of powertrains, excellent fuel economy, outstanding ergonomics, and great construction. Lastly is the Compact Utility Vehicle segment, the winner of which was the 2011 Honda CR-V, a recurrent favorite of the Kelley Blue Book Best Resale Value Awards.

These awards mean that consumers can count on getting the most car for their money when they choose the Fit, Accord, or CR-V and can reliably count on these vehicles to hold onto their appeal, even five years down the line. So if you???re wondering what manufacturer to choose so you can get a vehicle with strong resale value, be sure to choose Honda.

Kelley Blue Book Chooses Honda for Top 10 of 2010 Top Family Cars

2010 Top 10 Family
Cars

If safe, roomy and affordable are the characteristics that qualify a vehicle as a family car, then the American family has never had so many choices. While a sea of options is ultimately a good thing, it can also make it more difficult for families to pick a winner. To help ease the pain, every year we put together a list of the Top 10 Family Vehicles, evaluating an ever-lengthening list of eligible vehicles on such factors as resale value, fuel efficiency, capability and kid-friendliness. This year's list features vehicles in a range of sizes and prices, offering something for a wide variety of families.

2010 Honda Odyssey

We've always thought an Acura badge would look right at home on the sharply styled, thoroughly refined Honda Odyssey. The most premium-like minivan on the market was also our editors' top pick in a recent segment comparison test, thanks to its ability to package versatility and amenities in a vehicle that is both comfortable and involving to drive.

2010 Honda Accord Crosstour

The 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour is everything we like about the Accord Sedan and more. It shares the same V6 engine, passenger room and overall styling with its sedan counterpart, but boasts almost twice the cargo capacity -- a big win for families -- thanks to its hatchback shape.

2009 Honda Accord Sedan

Also winning 10 trophies over the past decade-among a noteworthy 24 total honors-the Honda Accord continues its reign over the family-sedan class, offering the best complete package and fun-to-drive zeal.

What We Said:"By delivering so much more than anyone expects, the Accord has become a perennial bestseller, as well as a 10Best fixture." -January 2001

"It's equally clear that the Accord has evolved steadily to maintain its position as a mainstream pacesetter." -January 2009

Honda's sports car is now just a memory, but the joy and capability baked into this high-revving roadster keep the S2000 among our all-time favorites. Four 10Best titles say that Honda definitely got it right, but we have to wonder: Was this Big H's last hard-core car?

What We Said:

"Turn the car loose on a racetrack, and you quickly find an outstanding chassis with tremendous grip, excellent balance, and racy-quick steering." -January 2000

"This is a pure sports car - extra virgin, first pressing." -January 2002

Honda Fit: 3 10Best Appearances

2009 Honda Fit Sport
2009 Honda Fit Sport

The Fit's entry into the U.S. was brilliantly timed by Honda, as the little runabout appeared just as rising fuel prices had us questioning our gas-guzzling way of life. The fun-to-drive spirit, versatility, and extreme value of the Fit have earned it a place in our hearts and three elections to the 10Best pantheon.

What We Said:

"Not only is it endowed with an impressive array of standard features and an upscale interior, but its dynamics rival the responses of cars with much fancier pedigrees and price tags." -January 2007

"If there's a better combination of thrift, practicality, and fun-to-drive, we haven't seen it yet." -January 2009
